About Me

I first came to know of period drama when I saw Pride and Prejudice 1995 when I was little.  It was the first period film I had ever seen.  For me, it opened the door to the world of Jane Austen and period films.  Throughout my life I grew to know more and more about period drama, until I found that I was obsessed with this film genre.  And I've been obsessed ever since!

I'm mostly Irish, partly Scottish-Canadian, and then a dabble of English here and a dabble of French there.  My head is often lost amongst the clouds.  I was once described as someone who was always in their own world, and "wherever that was, it seemed to be a pretty nice place".  I'm not rational, logical, or straightforward, nor am I a "down to earth" sort of person.  I am the exact opposite of all those characteristics.  I have a huge imagination, which is most likely why I relate so strongly to Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery.

I have a tendency to be serious.  I prefer serious moments in movies, and though I like comedies as well as the next person, I would rather watch an emotional drama with a dark tone than a comedy.

I love books, especially L. M. Montgomery novels.  I take an interest in period drama, film, literature, history, dance (especially Irish dancing, Scottish dancing, and classical ballet), music, figure skating, skiing, art, European history, ancient Irish folklore, and European fairytales.  I have a broad taste in music, varying from Classical to Gothic Rock.  I even like Dubstep.  I like to spend my free time sketching, reading, or watching Downton Abbey episodes.
